Too Bright

Speaking of the topic of too bright, we look at the use of over doing it with the treble knobs controlling the highs. You run the definite inevitable risk of making a song sound too thin when there is a lot of highs applied to music. I mean doing this can really make the music irritatingly thin.

For one, no matter how big an powerful the speakers are, the resulting sound will be like it is being played on a small transistor radio or megaphone. It is that obvious screeching type of sound that you can tell that this is not very natural sounding.

Also the high frequency has the effect of making some sounds inaudible to where they are barely heard in the song. There great loss of warmth in the audio as well which is not good listening for music. The only way that I have ever heard someone getting away with using too much highs in a song is when it is cleverly used in the beginning and then the fullness is gradually brought back in, or at a certain part of the song like electronica for example. Not the entire length of the song.
